Back to Bloggin'

How’s it going? My name is Gleb. If you know me personally you may remember that I used to have a blog on Wordpress a while back. For those who don’t know me, well now you know too, and don’t worry I’ll introduce myself in just a minute!

My previous blog started off really well (at least I think it did) I wrote something almost every week. However, I slowly started neglecting it and just brushing off writing for a few different reasons. The big one was that I was busy with school and just haven’t had the time to keep up with it. The second reason was that I didn’t really have a focus. I didn’t know what I was doing with this blog and what was the purpose of it. I have seen many different blogs about photography throughout the internet and I always thought to myself “yeah I can totally do that”.

I wrote and I wrote, but noticed that there weren’t that many people that read. While that number probably would have gone up if I haven’t stopped writing, regardless I felt that the blog was far too ordinary.

So, now a few months later, it is a new year, I have an actual website (that’s much more than just a blog), and it’s my last year of college. I have decided that it is time to start again and this keep on going and be persistent.

So, with all that said I would like to welcome everybody to my new blog at Lone Village Photo (.com). This is going to be a very casual blog, so as I get things started it may not have an exact or consistent flow, but eventually the pieces will fall into place.

That’s my little story, and now your all caught up. But that’s not the end of this post (it may be a little long) because now it’s time to introduce myself (again).

Oh look its me!

My name is Gleb and I am a photographer, a videographer, a traveler, and this is my blog. I have been doing photography for a few years and have about a year ago I also started getting into video which is why I decided to switch my major from business to digital media up at Weber State University in northern Utah.

Aside from photography and video, I also love to travel. I think it’s the most exciting thing anyone can do! It gives me a chance to see new places, meet new people, explore and experience the world. And now that I am finishing college I hope to have even more opportunities to travel cause sitting at home can get really dull. Plus travelling works really well with photography and video. I can capture the memories for myself and share them with the rest of the world. Hopefully that will inspire other to go and do the same!

The Red Square! And a whole lotta people!

I think the reason I love travelling so much is because I am originally from Russia. I moved to States a long time ago, but I also lived in Italy for a couple of years before that and while there I got to see a lot of cool places. However, back then I was little and had no idea what I was seeing and now that I’m all grown up I have made it my goal to try to see as many places as I can. It may take a while, but I know I can do it!

Last year I decided to go ahead and get a head start on my eventual goal, I went out and visited Vancouver, British Columbia. It was an incredible city and it is somewhere I would definitely be going back. In addition to that I also went and visited my family back in Russia over the summer. Even though it wasn’t an entirely new place to me, it is always nice to go back and see familiar faces and places.

Well I hope you enjoyed my little introduction and I hope that you comeback and continue reading my blog. To make sure you don’t miss a post go ahead and give me a like on Facebook, or follow me on Instagram!

Thank you for reading and have a great day!
